Bitcoin price exceeding US$109,000 for first time in history

Bitcoin was priced at US$107,646.76 on the largest cryptocurrency trading volume exchange, Binance, reflecting a 1.69 per cent increase for the day.

MOSCOW - The price of Bitcoin has once again reached a historic daily high, surpassing US$109,000, trading data showed on Monday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti. 

As of 0658 GMT, Bitcoin was priced at US$107,646.76 on the largest cryptocurrency trading volume exchange, Binance, reflecting a 1.69 per cent increase for the day.

Before that, it was above US$109,000.

According to CoinMarketCap, which averages prices from over 20 exchanges, Bitcoin's price rose by 1.7 per cent to an average of US$107,157.21 in the last 24 hours. - BERNAMA-SPUTNIK/RIA NOVOSTI
