SHAH ALAM - Harimau Malaya head coach Peter Cklamovski acknowledged the need for extensive work to strengthen the national football team.

The newly appointed coach stated that while the team has a solid foundation, it requires fine-tuning to ensure progress in the right direction.

Having arrived in Malaysia on Wednesday, Cklamovski expressed his pride in leading the squad and his commitment to driving the ongoing transformation within the team.

“We need to work hard and take it step by step to build the team and ensure our plans are executed smoothly. The foundation is there, but we must address weaknesses.

“Everyone involved, including officials and players representing the nation, will give their best to make Malaysian supporters proud,” he said during the launch of the new Harimau Malaya Puma jersey on Thursday.

Cklamovski also assured that all players would have an equal chance to prove their worth before earning a spot on the national team.

“I’ve observed every player and they all have the opportunity to improve and secure their place.

“If you’re good, you’ll get the chance to play, no matter who you are,” he said.
