From Copenhagen to Athens: Uniqlo's 2025 Spring/Summer Collection celebrates global inspiration

The infusion of global influences into the Malaysian wardrobe seen through the new collection which was previewed at One Bangsar on Jan 22 celebrates the concept of Uniqlo which is LifeWear, specifically in its philosophy of simplicity, quality and functionality, further offering a fresh perspective on timeless wardrobe staples.

The collection this year elevates classic staples through combinations that are modern yet timeless.
Copenhagen, celebrated for its effortless minimalism, and Athens, renowned for its sunlit vibrancy, serve as the inspirations for a collection that reimagines timeless styles. Featuring neutral tones, light layering, and fresh silhouettes, the designs embody a perfect blend of Scandinavian simplicity and Mediterranean charm.
Copenhagen's Spring nature to the radiant warmth of an Athenian summer create a combination of designs with easy elegance, with each city's distinct character infused into them and versatile pieces that effortlessly adapt to any occasion. The atmosphere during the launch was also designed to mirror the modern city in spring and summer, setting the perfect stage for the collection.
Uniqlo stays committed to the pursuit of elegance and versatility, where the collection particularly alleviates the elements through cool, breathable fabrics like high-quality fine Linen to ensure comfort throughout Malaysia's warm climate.

There were key pieces such as Bra Tops, Sport Utility Wear (SUW) and Denim collections that embodied the theme shown at the preview which symbolise Uniqlo's innovative designs that seamlessly blend practicality and style, allowing stylists to transition effortlessly from spring mornings to summer evenings.

Among their 2025 Spring/Summer LifeWear collection key styling pieces is the Premium Linen Shirt, celebrated for its breathable comfort and refined look.

The UT (Uniqlo T-shirt) collection was also previewed for the first time, showcasing exclusive designs inspired by Picasso, Peanuts and NY pop art.

Functional favourites like SUW—including AIRism, Dry-EX, and UV Protection items—and versatile staples like the Wide Straight Jeans from the Denim collection were also there to complete the lineup, ensuring style meets practicality for every occasion.

There were also exclusive collections highlighted which were Uniqlo: C, Uniqlo U, and the collaborative Uniqlo x Comptoir des Cotonniers, offering wide-ranging styles that complement the season's theme.

Comptoir des Cotonniers is a fashion company under Uniqlo that is based in France and utilises French tailoring to retain absolute quality while enhancing specific designs focused on elegance, relaxation and modernity.
