SHAH ALAM – The Karangkraf Warehouse Book Sale 2025 is back, kicking off the new year with a treat for book lovers and bargain hunters alike.
This annual event, held at the Karangkraf Complex, Seksyen 15, here, has become a beloved tradition for book enthusiasts, bringing together a diverse selection of titles at unbeatable prices.
With prices starting as low as RM2, visitors can explore a variety of genres while enjoying engaging activities and a vibrant atmosphere.
For retired teacher Zulkifli Ahmad from Kedah, the sale was a must-visit event.
"I came here with my wife while visiting my son in Putrajaya. As a former teacher, I have a deep love for books, especially rare ones. I’m also here to purchase the Quran for study purposes.
"Events like these are fantastic because they provide access to a wide range of materials that are often hard to find elsewhere and at affordable prices," he said when met, today.
He added that the availability of food vendors and ample parking space made the experience even better.
Among the crowd was 15-year-old student Mohammad Al Fateh, who travelled from Kuala Terengganu with his family to attend the sale for the first time.
"I’m a big fan of books and I'm excited to see such low prices compared to the usual market rates. The selection is diverse and it’s very encouraging for people who love to read," he said.
Another student, Siti Damia Aishah Mohd Rohim, 18, shared how the event held sentimental value to her.
This, she said was because her father used to work at the company.
"This is my second time visiting the warehouse. I love the variety of novels they offer and the affordable prices make it even more appealing.
"Events like these are a great way to promote reading habits among people and I would definitely recommend it to my friends who share the same love for books," she said.
Running from Jan 24 to Feb 2 Feb, the book sale offers a treasure trove of titles across various categories, including religion, motivation, novels, education and children’s literature.
Specially curated Qurans in multiple sizes, complete with recitation guides, add a meaningful touch to the collection.
Visitors can also enjoy lucky draws, free gifts and a variety of food stalls, making it a fun outing for families and friends.
