Ikea is making home shopping even more convenient for customers in Sabah and Sarawak with the launch of its dedicated e-commerce platform today (Feb 4).

This new online store allows East Malaysians to purchase Ikea’s best-selling products at the same affordable prices as in Peninsular Malaysia, with significantly faster delivery.

The improved delivery speed is made possible by Ikea’s newly established Central Fulfillment Centre in Kuching, which streamlines packing, assembly and distribution of online orders across the region.

This marks a significant step in Ikea’s commitment to making home furnishing solutions more accessible to all Malaysians.

Country Retail Director of Ikea Malaysia, Malcolm Pruys, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion.

“At Ikea, we are passionate about creating a better everyday life for the many people. Our customers in Sabah and Sarawak have been instrumental in making Ikea a beloved brand in Malaysia.

“As we strive to expand our reach and meet the diverse needs of Malaysians, we are always exploring new ways for them to interact with the brand.

“Therefore, we are thrilled to launch this dedicated online store, making our home furnishing solutions more accessible to our customers here and enjoy the same affordable prices as those in Peninsular Malaysia,” he said.

He further emphasised the company’s efforts to bridge geographical barriers.

“We are proud to be able to ‘flatpack’ the distance when it comes to pricing, with our new fulfillment centre in Kuching.

“This is another step in our growth here in Malaysia and we are excited to welcome our customers in Sabah and Sarawak and further elevate the Ikea experience in East Malaysia,” he added.

With this launch, Ikea strengthens its omni channel presence, ensuring customers across the country can enjoy a seamless shopping experience.

Orders can be placed via the new dedicated website at IKEA EM Store, guaranteeing authentic products and reliable delivery.
