Taylor Swift booed at Super Bowl LIX amid Eagles crowd reaction
Unlike last year’s warm reception, the pop icon was met with loud boos from a heavily pro-Eagles crowd when her image appeared on the stadium’s video boards during a first-quarter break.

HOLLYWOOD sensation Taylor Swift faced an unexpected reaction at Super Bowl LIX while attending the game to support Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Unlike last year’s warm reception, the pop icon was met with loud boos from a heavily pro-Eagles crowd when her image appeared on the stadium’s video boards during a first-quarter break.
According to media reports, Swift, a regular presence at Chiefs games throughout the season, looked visibly surprised by the reaction.
A viral clip circulating on social media platform X captured the moment, with fans clearly heard booing as her face appeared on the screen.
Seated next to rapper Ice Spice, she appeared momentarily unsettled before smiling and seemingly mouthing, "What’s going on?"
The 14-time Grammy Award winner has been in a public relationship with Kelce for over a year, frequently showing her support for the team.
Their relationship first gained attention last season when Kelce invited Swift to watch him play after failing to give her a friendship bracelet at her Arrowhead Stadium concert.
Since then, their high-profile romance has intertwined sports and entertainment, with Swift attending several games during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning campaign.
Last year, she made a dramatic entrance at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, arriving straight from her Eras Tour concert in Tokyo.
She was seen celebrating the Chiefs’ victory at Allegiant Stadium, engaging in a beer-chugging contest and mingling with celebrities like Blake Lively and Lana Del Rey.
Following the team’s win over the San Francisco 49ers, she joined Kelce on the field, embracing him amid falling red and gold confetti.
This year, her arrival in New Orleans was more understated.
She joined Kelce, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, for dinner at the French restaurant Lilette on Friday night.
On the eve of the Super Bowl, she was spotted dining with musicians Danielle and Alana Haim at Gianna Restaurant.
Speculation is growing over Kelce’s future in the NFL, with some within the Chiefs organisation anticipating a possible retirement.
The 35-year-old has been expanding his career beyond football, co-hosting a successful podcast with his brother, retired Eagles centre Jason Kelce and making multiple television appearances.
Meanwhile, rumours persist about a potential engagement between Kelce and Swift, with betting odds even being placed on a Super Bowl proposal.
Despite the boos from the crowd, Swift remains a good-luck charm for the Chiefs, with the team winning 19 out of 22 games when she has been in attendance, including an undefeated 9-0 record this season.
While she has been a strong supporter of the Chiefs, the reaction from Eagles fans at the Super Bowl made it clear that not everyone in the stadium welcomed her presence.
