Ceasefire under watch: Why do Israeli drones still roam Gaza’s skies?

Palestinians argue that Israel’s history of broken agreements makes its ceasefire commitments unreliable

Universiti Malaya lecturer Dr Muhammad Al-Aqad points out that while civilians may move more freely, Israeli drones continue to hover over Gaza for hours each day—allegedly tracking Hamas leaders rather than ensuring peace.

According to him, this ongoing surveillance signals Israel’s true intentions: waiting for the right moment to break the ceasefire and strike.
