Cristiano Ronaldo to visit Indonesia's NTT province tomorrow

NTT Regional Police confirmed they are coordinating with PSSI's NTT office to arrange security protocols to prepare for CR7's arrival.

KUPANG - International football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, popularly known as CR7, is scheduled to visit Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province on Tuesday (February 18), according to confirmation from NTT's Acting Governor, Andriko Noto Susanto.

"He is expected tomorrow at 11am at the El Tari Airport of Kupang," he said when contacted by ANTARA in Kupang, NTT, on Monday.

The NTT Provincial Association of the All-Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) has sent a letter to the NTT provincial government, informing about the planned visit of the Portuguese national, who currently plays for Al Nassr in the top tier of Saudi Arabian football.

The PSSI regional office stated in the letter that the Graha Kasih Foundation intends to bring the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player to meet with the NTT acting governor to discuss matters related to football and the province's development.

According to the plan, the discussion will take place at the governor's office in NTT's capital city of Kupang on Sunday (February 19) at 10.30am local time.

Meanwhile, the NTT Regional Police confirmed they are coordinating with PSSI's NTT office to arrange security protocols to prepare for CR7's arrival.

Head of the police's Public Relations Division, Grand Commissioner Henry Novika Chandra, noted that a meeting is set to take place shortly to delve into specifics regarding Ronaldo's visit.

He then assured that the NTT Regional Police would devise and execute safety and security measures to guarantee a well-organised and peaceful visit for the football superstar.
