Survivor with only RM200 left sells smoked beef to afford skull implant

SHAH ALAM - A craniectomy survivor has gone viral after a video of him pleading with viewers to buy his product circulated online.

According to local reports, the man has only RM200 in savings and is selling smoked beef to sustain himself.

"Assalamualaikum. I'm selling smoked beef. I smoked it for two hours. It's clean and dry now. If you're interested, I can ship it to you.

"Please support me—I need to fix my head. Alhamdulillah, I'm selling smoked beef. Support me in getting a new head," he said while holding up the product.

His skull implant is estimated to cost RM15,000.

Netizens expressed support for his efforts to seek donations through social media.

"This is the kind of person who deserves TikTok gifts, not wealthy public figures," one user wrote.

"We cannot depend on the government all the time. If you want to support him, just buy his product without being skeptical. He's only trying to help himself," another user said.

A different user shared a personal story, revealing that their father faced a similar situation. Despite nerve issues in his right hand, he continues to work as a bus driver to support his family.

Meanwhile, a comment on @majoritiofficial news' Instagram page, posted 16 hours ago at the time of writing, claimed that a kind-hearted woman named Izwani Ismail had covered the cost of his skull implant. However, this claim remains unverified.

Based on his TikTok account, where he frequently goes live to connect with supporters willing to donate or buy his smoked beef, his name is Muhammad Sufi, and his username is @muhammadsufi488.

In a TikTok post, he was seen documenting from Merbok, Kedah, suggesting that he may be from the area.

Further details about his donation efforts were shared in the comment sections of his videos, including his account number.

While he does seek donations, he primarily does so through TikTok Live rather than directly asking in every video.

His content also includes playful videos featuring himself, his smoked beef and possibly his daughters.

His last known update was on Feb 1. While there are claims that a donor has covered his medical costs, this remains unverified.
