Astro Oasis remains primary broadcaster for 2025 World #QuranHour, strengthening Quranic engagement
This year’s World #QuranHour would take place at its main venue, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque at the International Islamic University Malaysia from 12pm to 1pm.

SHAH ALAM - Astro Oasis will continue to be the main broadcaster for the World #QuranHour programme, organised by Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF), which will take place on March 25.
Astro Oasis Channel Manager Nadirah Karim said that the network had once again been entrusted with the responsibility of airing the programme live on television.

She said all media partners were welcomed to take the live feed or rebroadcast the 2025 World #QuranHour livestream to ensure it was aired simultaneously on the designated day.
“Any programme under WUIF is very important. In these times of religious, political and lifestyle uncertainties, one crucial thing is for the community to come together to read and understand the messages in the Quran.
“It is not just about reading, but also about internalising and reflecting (tadabbur) on the Quranic verses. It is a truly beautiful experience because, for one hour, we focus solely on one thing, setting everything else aside.
“This is the key to WUIF’s success, as the #QuranHour movement has now reached its 10th year,” she said during the Sinergi Media briefing for 2025 World #QuranHour at Studio My #QuranTime, Kompleks Kumpulan Karangkraf, on Wednesday.
Also present at the event were WUIF Founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub; WUIF Chief Executive Officer Marhaini Yusoff, WUIF Board of Trustees member Ahmad Yani Abd Manaf, WUIF Chief Research Officer and tadabbur expert Fazrul Ismail and qari Syukri Ali.
This year’s World #QuranHour would take place at its main venue, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), from 12pm to 1pm.
Media organisations supporting the #SavingTheUmmah-themed World #QuranHour include Sinar Harian, Sinar Daily, Nu Ideaktiv, Bernama, Astro Awani, TV Alhijrah, TV3, RTM, TV9, Media Prima, Utusan TV, Utusan Malaysia, the media division of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim), TV IKIM, IKIM FM, ZAYAN, and Denaihati.com.
Strategic partners include IIUM, Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS), Karya Bestari, Malaysian Public Library Directors Council (MPAM), Akademi Sinergi Ikhlas, Rasuah Busters, Sahabah al-Quran, Rumah Ngaji, My#HadithTime and Soul Fitness.
Nadirah hoped that media involvement in 2025 World #QuranHour would help educate the public and bring continuous rewards due to the effort in spreading the programme.
“As a media organisation, it is our responsibility to use our platform to promote this great initiative,” she added.
