Haircare product NatureLab Tokyo expands to Malaysia, now available at Watsons
KUALA LUMPUR — Japanese haircare brand NatureLab Tokyo, first established in 2017, is now available in Malaysia, with products focusing on the combination of nature and science, creating innovative and clean haircare solutions.
Their line of hair care products also utilises botanical technology, using plant stem cells to regenerate hair health at a molecular level. To ensure sustainability, the products are free from any phthalates, parabens, and sulphates and do not practise any cruelty.
Among their key products is Saisei, with the tagline "Rebirth for Your Hair." It focuses on slowing and reversing greying as well as hair fall. Following 12 years of research and development, clinical results revealed that 73 per cent of users experienced less grey hair after three months.
The product also contains biomimetic peptides that help to rejuvenate follicles and stimulate melanin production in the hair. The three-step routine recommended for using their products begins with their Stress Defence Amino-Acid Shampoo, followed by Restoring Therapy Conditioner and Biomimetic Peptide Treatment Essence for long-term hair health.
The second key product is Kiseki, which means "miracle" in Japanese, pioneering the theme of "Miraculous Repair for Damaged Hair". The product specifically targets hair severely damaged from bleaching, excessive heating, usage of chemicals, and environmental stressors.
It also contains the Kiseki Molecular Repair Leave-In Masque, which it claims shows the intended "miraculous" result after just four minutes of usage. Among the key ingredients that help enhance its effectiveness are milk thistle seed extract, which deeply penetrates hair strands to repair them internally, and green tea seed oil, which helps to nourish the scalp and promote healthy hair growth after damage.
The product is also infused with a Hinoki Forest scent, consisting of a combination of citrus, lavender, and cypress smells to give a therapeutic effect when used.
Additional available product lines are Perfect Volume, Perfect Repair, and Perfect Clean, all of which help to strengthen, thicken, repair, deeply cleanse, and hydrate hair.

During a launch event in Kuala Lumpur, guest Suraya Athira Suhaimi, 26, a marketing executive, said that the event helped shed light on the importance of proper haircare, especially for hijabis. She stressed that shampooing should not stand alone in the haircare routine, where treatments like hair masks are necessary for hair damage repair alongside maintaining healthy hair.
She added that she would try to include NatureLab's Kiseki Molecular Repair Leave-In Hair Masque in her haircare routine because of its high-quality ingredients and fast results.
"It's also a convenient alternative to conditioner, which makes hair-washing less of a hassle," she said.
