KUALA LUMPUR - In the ever-evolving music industry, where trends come and go, the iconic 1990s band Slam continues to stand strong, thriving for over three decades with their timeless hits.

While many bands from their era have broken up or gone their separate ways, Slam-comprising Shah, Lili, Eddie, Man and Zamani-has remained intact, bonded by unwavering camaraderie that serves as the foundation of their longevity.

Lead guitarist Shah attributes the band’s lasting success to honesty, openness, and direct communication in making decisions.

"It would be a lie to say we’ve never had misunderstandings or disagreements. But we never let conflicts linger for too long. Instead, we immediately reach out and resolve them.

"We also maintain a strong sense of respect for one another. Among us, there’s no such thing as talking behind each other's backs," he told reporters recently.

In addition, Shah shared that their deep love for music has been the driving force keeping them united and ensuring Slam remains relevant to this day.

"Despite our differences in opinions, every band member shares the same passion for music, which has become the foundation of our career," he said.

Meanwhile, Shah revealed that Slam plans to re-record some of their classic hits and release new songs this year.
