MALAYSIA'S very own music icon, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza has her hit song "Anta Permana" featured among the British King, King Charles III's favourite tracks.

The song was included in the British monarch’s personal playlist, which he shared on a special Apple Music broadcast entitled "The King's Music Room" released in conjunction with the Commonwealth Day celebrations, yesterday.

"Anta Permana" which was released in 2018 was composed by Ezra Kong and Hael Husaini.

King Charles' favourite songs was compiled as a special playlist that featured a diverse range of music from around the world.

In a video recorded at Buckingham Palace, he opened the broadcast by saying that throughout his life, music has meant a great deal to him.

"It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories to comfort us in times of sadness and to take us to distant places. But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy," he said in the video.

In the playlist description, King Charles shared more about his song selections saying that he wanted to share with people the songs which have brought him joy.

The songs, he said evoked many different styles and many different cultures.

"But all of them, like the family of Commonwealth nations, in their many different ways, share the same love of life in all its richness and diversity. I can only hope you have enjoyed these few songs I have had time to share with you. Perhaps you have heard some of your own favourite pieces—and perhaps you may have discovered something new," he said.

The 17-song playlist, spanning one hour and ten minutes, featured Anta Permana alongside other iconic and legendary tracks such as Could You Be Loved (1980) by Bob Marley and the Wailers, Haven't Met You Yet (2009) by Michael Bublé and the global pop sensation Crazy in Love (2003) by Beyoncé, among others.
