SHAH ALAM – Police are investigating the individual who recorded and uploaded a video of the late Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matin’s mother, Ismanira Abdul Manaf, walking with her two children, questioning its relevance to the ongoing murder investigation of the autistic child.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said authorities are working to identify the person who captured the footage.

“Further investigations will determine whether the video has any connection to Zayn Rayyan’s murder case,” he said when contacted on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Sungai Buloh district police chief Superintendent Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor confirmed that police have recorded a statement from Zayn Rayyan’s mother regarding the video.

“The complainant’s statement was taken on Monday,” he said.

However, Hafiz clarified that the investigation will not be handled by the Sungai Buloh district police, as the original incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Petaling Jaya district.

“The report has been referred to the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters,” he said.

It was reported that the Kampung Baru Subang police station received a report from Ismanira, regarding the viral video at 2.43pm on Sunday.
