US 'biggest criminal' in Gaza, must face International Court - Tun Mahathir
Dr Mahathir claimed that the Zionist regime would not have been able to carry out its relentless attacks on Gaza without American military and financial backing from Washington.
PUTRAJAYA – Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has called for the United States to be brought before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), describing the country as the biggest criminal in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Speaking at the Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana Iftar event, Dr Mahathir claimed that the Zionist regime would not have been able to carry out its relentless attacks on Gaza without American military and financial backing from Washington.
"The biggest criminal is America. Without America's support, Israel would not be able to act, even if they wanted to.
"The United States has allowed Israel to commit mass killings of the Palestinian people," he said during the event on Thursday.
According to him, he also believes that the country supplies all weapons and military equipment to Israel to ensure that the Zionist regime achieves its goal of taking over Gaza.
Dr Mahathir stressed that America's involvement in the aggression proves that it is directly responsible for the suffering of the Palestinian people, who continue to endure relentless attacks from Israeli forces.
"I believe America should also be brought before the international court because we know they are Israel's strongest supporter, enabling them to kill so many people while the world remains powerless to act," he said.
He also urged the ICJ not to remain silent or idle and to take firm action to stop the atrocities being committed against the Palestinian people.
"I pray that they remain strong and resilient and I hope the world does not allow such things to happen," he added.
