Man believed to have died due to electrocution during flash floods in Sri Muda

SHAH ALAM - A man is believed to have died from electrocution during flash floods that hit Sri Muda, here, earlier this morning.

The tragedy unfolded as heavy rain battered several parts of Selangor, causing widespread flooding.

According to video on TikTok, local residents were reportedly advised not to be in or near the floodwaters, possibly due to electrical hazards in the area.

It was also reported that some residents were seen sitting on rooftops, believed to be trapped by the fast-rising floodwaters.

Meanwhile, Sinar is currently attempting to verify the details and gain confirmation from the police regarding the incident.

Earlier, it was reported that five districts in Selangor were affected by flash floods following continuous heavy rainfall since early morning.

This was confirmed by Selangor Malaysian Civil Defence Force director Ghazali Abd Rahman.

The districts impacted included Petaling, Klang, Sepang, Hulu Langat and Gombak.
