PKR polls: Adam Adli loses deputy chief post in Hang Tuah Jaya

He only managed to garner 791 votes, compared to Zamzizul Nordin who received 1,905 votes.

MELAKA – Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim failed in his attempt to secure the position of deputy division chief for Hang Tuah Jaya, losing to his opponent Zamzizul Nordin.

He only managed to garner 791 votes, compared to Zamzizul who received 1,905 votes.

The leadership election for the Hang Tuah Jaya branch of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) also saw Lee Kah Kim winning the vice chief post with 2,064 votes, defeating his rival, David Ong Wai Leong, who secured 646 votes.

Previously, the Senior Political Secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, won the position of division chief of Hang Tuah Jaya, defeating the incumbent, Mohd Rafee Ibrahim.

Shamsul Iskandar, a former PKR Vice President, won with 1,995 votes, while Mohd Rafee received 736 votes.

According to official data, the PKR Hang Tuah Jaya division has 3,558 eligible voting members.

The results were announced this morning by the party’s election committee.
