Bella Astillah attends day three of Syed Saddiq’s appeal proceedings

PUTRAJAYA – Celebrity Bella Astillah caught the public’s eye once again when she showed up on the third day of the hearing of Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman's appeal at the Court of Appeal, today.

Syed Saddiq is appealing to overturn his conviction and sentence of seven years in jail, two strokes of the cane, and a RM10 million fine over four charges linked to funds from Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda (Armada).

Bella arrived at the courthouse at about 8.40am, clad in baju kurung.

The court had previously fixed March 19 and 20 for the hearing of Syed Saddiq’s appeal.

However, after two days of submissions, proceedings were adjourned to April 17 (today) after deputy public prosecutor Datuk Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin informed the court he was unable to continue due to a sore throat.

Bella had previously accompanied Syed Saddiq to a Dewan Rakyat session, where the two made headlines for their coordinated outfits, Syed Saddiq in a baju Melayu and Bella in a matching baju kurung.

A video of Bella’s appearance in Parliament was also shared on the Facebook page of Masjid Tanah MP Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.
