BIDOR - The Election Commission (EC) is targeting a voter turnout of over 70 per cent for the Ayer Kuning state by-election, scheduled for this Saturday.

“We are expecting more than 70 per cent voter turnout based on trends observed in past by-elections,” Ramlan told reporters at Dewan Rekreasi APR Transit, 3rd Battalion of the General Operations Force (PGA) Bidor.
He also urged voters to cast their ballots early on April 26, citing unpredictable weather conditions as a concern.
"I urge all voters to come out early, especially since the weather has been unpredictable lately.
"I encourage everyone to vote early to ensure they can carry out their responsibilities," he added.
Ramlan also called for strict adherence to election rules and guidelines by all involved parties to ensure a peaceful and orderly process.
"I hope everyone will act responsibly to avoid any provocation or situations that could lead to unrest,” he said.
Early voting for the Ayer Kuning by-election began today, with a strong voter turnout reported in the initial hours.
By 9am, 22.8 per cent of registered early voters had cast their ballots, signaling keen participation in this crucial electoral contest.
