KDEBWM welcomes new Fuso Euro 5 Arm Roll Trucks to drive cleaner, smarter Selangor
KDEBWM sees the importance of using vehicles that are durable, efficient and environmentally conscious.

KLANG - KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) marked a significant step forward in Selangor’s waste management innovation with the official delivery of Fuso Euro 5 Arm Roll Trucks at a ceremony held at Hap Seng Star Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
Speaking at the event, KDEBWM Managing Director Datuk Ramli Mohd Tahir expressed his gratitude to all parties involved.
“I would like to express my deepest appreciation to each of you for being here today at this meaningful occasion.
“This ceremony marks more than just the handing over of vehicles; it signifies progress, collaboration and our shared vision for a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Selangor.
"It is a moment of pride not only for KDEBWM but also for our strategic partners who have contributed significantly to this initiative," he said.
He highlighted the organisation’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence and environmental sustainability, emphasising that KDEBWM consistently prioritises both in its approach.
With the responsibility of managing waste for millions across the state, KDEBWM sees the importance of using vehicles that are durable, efficient and environmentally conscious; making the Fuso Euro 5 Arm Roll Truck a perfect addition to their fleet.
Ramli also praised Fuso for its well-established reputation in the industry.

"Fuso has consistently proven itself to be a reliable and innovative partner, known for its strong engineering capabilities and commitment to quality.
Their chassis are built for durability and heavy-duty applications, making them ideal for arm roll operations in the urban and semi-urban environments we operate in daily,” he added.
Emphasising the significance of the Euro 5 upgrade, Ramli welcomed the engine’s integration into KDEBWM’s operations, calling it a timely and meaningful advancement.
He detailed the benefits as follow:
- Significantly reduced nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate emissions, supporting Selangor’s effort to improve air quality and public health.
- Better fuel economy, which means lower operating costs and reduced carbon emissions per kilometre travelled.
- Advanced exhaust after-treatment systems that ensure cleaner combustion and minimal environmental disruption.
- Smoother and quieter engine operation, which is particularly important in residential areas and during early morning collections.
Ramli further added that the improvements are not only beneficial for the environment but also for the organisation's long-term asset management.

"These improvements not only benefit the environment but also translate into better long-term asset management for KDEBWM, as cleaner engines often result in less wear-and-tear, fewer breakdowns, and extended service life.
"More importantly, the adoption of Euro 5 vehicles shows that we are not just thinking about today’s waste management needs, but also about tomorrow’s environmental challenges.
“We are future-proofing our fleet and aligning our operations with the State Government’s sustainability goals and Malaysia’s broader environmental agenda.
"With the support of Fuso and the dedication of our team at KDEBWM, we are confident that this fleet will help us deliver waste management services that are not only more efficient but also environmentally responsible,” he mentioned.
The Fuso Vehicle Delivery Ceremony symbolizes KDEBWM's strong commitment to a cleaner future and sets a new benchmark in sustainability-driven waste management across Selangor.
