‘Justice for Palestine’: Social media reacts as fires engulf Israel
Some likened the raging fire to Israel's failure to honor ceasefire agreements.

PUTRAJAYA - Amid the massive fires engulfing Israel, some view the disaster as divine retribution for the Zionist regime's atrocities against the Palestinian people.
In the comment sections of various international news portals, people from around the world appear to unite, with some likening the raging fire to Israel's failure to honor ceasefire agreements.
"Pray for strong winds and no rain," wrote a social media user named Bunny.
The comment garnered over 61,000 likes from other users who shared similar sentiments.

Similarly, an account holder named Call Her Nicole mocked Israel for previously rejecting a ceasefire with Hamas.
"They refused a ceasefire; now nature has agreed," she remarked, receiving over 30,000 likes.
Meanwhile, a social media user named Harry commented that the fire, which has razed more than 2,000 hectares of land, was merely 'occupying' the area and had the right to do so.
Israel is now appealing for international assistance to combat the large forest fires near Jerusalem that began last Wednesday.
At least 23 victims have been reported injured, mostly from smoke inhalation and burns, with 12 hospitalised. Firefighting teams are still struggling to control the rapidly spreading blaze.
Several helicopters and firefighting planes from countries including Spain, Italy, France and Romania have been deployed to assist in extinguishing the fires.
