Chronology of Pamela Ling’s disappearance

SHAH ALAM - A woman is believed to have been abducted after failing to appear for a scheduled statement at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Headquarters in Putrajaya on April 9.

A missing person report for the individual, identified as Pamela Ling Yueh, was lodged at the Precinct 7 Police Station in Putrajaya at around 3.02pm.

Pamela had been scheduled to appear at the MACC office on that date to provide a statement related to an ongoing investigation.

The 42-year-old is the wife of a businessman from Sarawak. Both Pamela and her husband were believed to be under investigation by the MACC in connection with a money laundering case.

April 9, 2025 (Tuesday)

• 1.29pm: Pamela booked a Grab e-hailing ride from Jalan Cheras heading to the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.
• 1.52pm: Her mobile phone was last detected near the MEX Highway, near Putra Permai.
• 1.57pm: Pamela sent a WhatsApp message to her lawyer, stating she was en route and expected to arrive at the MACC by 2.08pm.
• After 2pm: All calls and messages from her family and lawyer went unanswered. WhatsApp messages were undelivered and phone calls went unanswered.
• 3.02pm: Her lawyer filed a police report at the Precinct 7 Police Station in Putrajaya.

April 10, 2025

Her lawyer lodged a second police report at the Seri Kembangan Police Station.

May 2, 2025

Pamela’s family issued a media statement appealing to the public for any information on her whereabouts.

May 3, 2025

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, confirmed the case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code, relating to abduction or kidnapping with intent to wrongfully confine a person.

Statements have been taken from several witnesses, including MACC officers and the victim’s lawyer.
