The suspect admitted to having a heated argument with his wife during their journey home.

KUALA LUMPUR - Police have detained a 50-year-old man in connection with the death of his wife, who was believed to have fallen from a moving van on the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas Highway) near the Awan Besar Rest and Service (R&R) area, heading towards Petaling Jaya yesterday.
Cheras Police Chief ACP Aidil Bolhassan said the suspect was arrested at around 6 pm yesterday in the Bandar Kinrara area and that the case is being investigated under Section 304A of the Penal Code for causing death by negligence.
"Based on preliminary investigations, the suspect admitted to having a heated argument with his wife (the victim) during their journey home,” he said in a statement today.
The couple had reportedly been married for 20 years and have two children.
According to Aidil, a urine test conducted on the suspect came back positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine and benzodiazepine.
The man also has one criminal record and two previous records related to drug offences, he said, adding that suspect also claimed that the victim was involved in methamphetamine abuse.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident and to obtain further statements from relevant witnesses. - BERNAMA
