Newly built KKB public facilities vandalised weeks after launch
Several damages were identified, including a broken doorknob on the public toilet and a composite decorative door panel that had been destroyed, believed to be the result of vandalism.

HULU SELANGOR – Newly launched public facilities recently built at Dataran Warisan Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB) have reportedly been vandalised by irresponsible individuals less than a month after their official launch.
The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS), in a statement, said that during a routine site visit last Monday, several damages were identified, including a broken doorknob on the public toilet and a composite decorative door panel that had been destroyed, believed to be the result of vandalism.
“The Dataran Warisan KKB facilities and public toilets were constructed with the hope of providing a clean, comfortable and safe space for public use.
“This project is also symbolic of MPHS’ commitment to providing top-quality public amenities for the local community. However, we are deeply saddened to find that these brand-new facilities have been damaged by irresponsible behaviour,” the statement read, which was uploaded to MPHS' official Facebook page on Wednesday.
While the facilities remain under the Defects Liability Period (DLP) until August 2025, MPHS additionally clarified that any damages resulting from vandalism would not be borne by the contractor.
“MPHS continuously strives to plan and implement various initiatives to improve public amenities in Hulu Selangor.
“However, such negative mentalities and irresponsible behaviour must be stopped to ensure that the planned developments are not wasted and can be enjoyed by all segments of society,” it added.
