Kotak & Marcello Tahitoe to rock Sabah next month
According to event representative Alfian Basir, Sabah was chosen as the only location outside Indonesia to host this special event.
KUALA LUMPUR - For the first time ever, two major Indonesian music acts, Kotak and Marcello Tahitoe, will share the stage in the 2 Dekade - Kotak X Ello - Live in Malaysia concert, set to take place on June 14 at the International Technology and Commercial Centre (ITCC) Penampang, Sabah.
Organised by NS Show Connects Sdn Bhd in collaboration with ITCC Penampang, the concert is specially held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of both artistes’ involvement in the music industry.
According to event representative Alfian Basir, Sabah was chosen as the only location outside Indonesia to host this special event.
"Kota Kinabalu (Penampang) has been given the honour of hosting this concert, which fans there have certainly been anticipating,” he said in a statement.
In the same statement, Kotak’s lead vocalist, Tantri, described the opportunity to share the stage with Marcello as something special and expressed her excitement to meet their fans in Sabah.
Kotak, comprising Tantri, Chua, and Cella, is a well-known rock band with numerous hit albums and awards both in Indonesia and internationally. Meanwhile, Marcello is famed for his golden voice and is currently one of the lead vocalists of the legendary band Dewa 19.
