SHAH ALAM - What started as a casual lunch with friends unexpectedly turned into a political discussion for TikToker Ainee Suhaidi during an encounter with Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
In her video, Ainee, known on the social media platform as @ttbcatwoman shared how she noticed the Umno Supreme Council member at homestyle bakery-restaurant in Bukit Tunku, Kuala Lumpur walking past her table to the restroom.
While most people would simply whisper and nudge their tablemates, Ainee had other plans.
"I really wanted to take a picture with him and as soon as he walked out I quickly called him. My friends cautioned me not to but I just shouted YB! I said hi as if he was my best friend or uncle," she said.
Surprisingly, she said her shout caught Ahmad Maslan’s attention and he stopped in his tracks, giving Ainee the chance to approach him.
She said she had asked Ahmad Maslan for his opinion on a current political issue specifically about Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz's decision to quit Umno to join PKR.

"I went up to him and asked him about the current political situation and he replied which issue? Then I said the issue on Tengku Zafrul leaving Umno for PKR.
"The way he explained the situation was very detailed and easy to understand. He gave a lengthy explanation but it was very good," she said.
At the end of the video, Ainee thanked Ahmad Maslan for entertaining her questions and taking the time to explain the current political issue in detail.
