MELAKA - A teenage boy who went missing for more than 30 hours while searching for cattle has been found safe but weak, lying beneath a tree in Kampung Permatang Pasir, Melaka.
The 15-year-old, Muhamad Aidil Asyraf Fadli, who has a learning disability, was discovered early Friday morning around 2.08am by villagers and fire department personnel.
He was found behind a resident's house, about 600 metres from the fire department’s control post.
Operations Commander Senior Fire Officer Omera Omar said Aidil was found safe but he was in a weak condition.
“He was given initial treatment with the help of medical staff from the Health Ministry. He was later sent to Melaka Hospital for further treatment and the fire command post was closed at 3.52am,” Omera said.

Melaka Tengah Police District Deputy Chief Superintendent Halim Abas confirmed that Aidil was conscious when found.
“Incident Control Post (PKTK) officers on patrol were alerted by residents who heard groaning behind a house. When they went to investigate, they found the boy lying under a tree and brought him to hospital,” he said.
Duyong State Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy Abdul Halem also confirmed the discovery in a social media post, expressing his relief and appreciation to those involved.
“Alhamdulillah, Aidil has been found. How he was found, do not ask. Just look the videos, many were live streaming it,” he wrote.
Earlier, it was reported that Aidil, a student of SMK Pernu, was last seen wearing a green T-shirt before he went missing.
A live TikTok broadcast showed the boy being helped by two firemen while villagers could be heard reciting the azan in the background during the emotional moment of his rescue.
