Dua Lipa confirms engagement to actor Callum Turner

WELL, it’s official! Dua Lipa is off the market. The pop princess has finally confirmed her engagement to British heartthrob Callum Turner, putting an end to months of gossip and paparazzi shots.
In true popstar fashion, the 29-year-old hitmaker spilled the tea to British Vogue, calling their engagement a “decision to grow old and stay best friends
“Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever, it’s a really special feeling,” she told Gaby Wood for British Vogue’s July cover interview.
The singer, best known for her hit single “New Rules,” also shared that Turner had the engagement ring custom-made especially for her, with help from her closest friends and her sister, Rina.
The ring features a two-carat round-cut diamond set on a bold yellow gold band, reflecting both personal sentiment and distinctive style.
“I’m obsessed with it.
“It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well,” she said.
The couple first met at the River Cafe in London, introduced by co-founder Ruth Rogers while Lipa was dining with her father. A serendipitous reunion in Los Angeles a year later, when they discovered they were both reading Hernan Diaz's novel Trust, solidified their bond.
Lipa debuted their relationship publicly at the Glastonbury Festival in July 2024. She has since shared affectionate photos with Turner on social media, including one where she flaunts her engagement ring.
Although the couple hasn't begun planning the wedding yet due to their busy schedules, Lipa is finishing her Radical Optimism tour and Turner is filming, they are enjoying their engagement phase.
Lipa also shared her aspirations for motherhood, confirming that she would love to have children one day.
However, she expressed uncertainty about the timing, citing the challenges of balancing parenthood with her demanding career, particularly touring.
“I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period,” she added.
