Father found dead in pool of blood, allegedly murdered by own son
The 57-year-old victim was found dead lying on his back and covered in blood in the kitchen of the house.

IPOH – Police have remanded a man in connection with the suspected murder of his father in an incident at Taman Tasek Damai here on Tuesday.
Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the 31-year-old suspect has been remanded for seven days starting Wednesday to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
He said in the incident, the 57-year-old victim was found dead lying on his back and covered in blood in the kitchen of the house.
“Police received information about the incident from a member of the public at 8.26pm, reporting an unconscious man at the back of the house.
“Investigations at the scene revealed that the closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras were not functioning and there were no signs of missing valuables,” he said when contacted.

He added that the suspect, who lived with the victim, said the last time his father responded to a phone message was around 2.40pm.
He further stated that at about 7.30pm, the suspect returned from work and found the front gate closed, while the grille and glass doors were open and the sofa in the living room was in disarray.
“The suspect claimed he went to the kitchen and found his father lying in a pool of blood,” he said.
According to Abang Zainal Abidin, an examination of the victim's body revealed a stab wound on the right side of the abdomen and a slash wound on the right side of the chest.
He said forensic investigations at the scene also uncovered a small knife measuring 22 centimetres, which had been cleaned and is believed to have been used in the incident.
“The motive is still under investigation. Police have seized the suspect’s mobile phone, a car dashcam, and a CCTV decoder to assist in the investigation,” he added.
