Parked tour bus rolls away, crashes into pillar at Genting Highlands
The impact caused the pillar to collapse onto a nearby taxi.

BENTONG – Panic briefly gripped visitors at Genting Highlands after a parked tour bus unexpectedly rolled forward, crashing into a road divider and a roof pillar on Wednesday afternoon.
Bentong district police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said that no injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred at about 12.20pm at Taman Cendawan, within the popular tourist area.
Police were alerted by members of the public and a team was immediately dispatched to the scene to investigate.

“Initial investigations found that the bus, driven by a 45-year-old local man, had been properly parked in a designated area,” he said in a statement.
“However, the vehicle suddenly began moving and collided with a road divider and a roof support pillar," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He added that the impact caused the pillar to collapse onto a nearby taxi.
Both the bus and taxi sustained damage, but no injuries were reported among bystanders or passengers.
The case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving.
