Police helicopter crashes near Sungai Pulai, crew safe
The victims were rescued by the Marine Police.


KUALA LUMPUR – A Police Air Wing AS355N helicopter, carrying five crew members including the pilot, was involved in an accident near Sungai Pulai, Gelang Patah in Johor on Thursday.
However, all five crew members were confirmed to be safe.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) stated that the helicopter, piloted by one pilot, took off from the Tanjung Kupang Police Station at 9.51am with four passengers on board.
According to CAAM, all five victims were rescued by the Marine Police team and transported to the Maritime Enforcement Agency (Maritim Malaysia) jetty in Johor.
"All victims have been transferred to Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) in Johor Bahru for evaluation and further treatment.
"An investigation will be conducted by the Air Accident Investigation Bureau under the Ministry of Transport," the statement said on Thursday.
The investigation is being carried out under Section XXVI of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2016.
