Royal addendum decree valid, Umno seeks house arrest for Najib to be enforced
Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the confirmation reaffirmed the royal decree for former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to be placed under house arrest.

SHAH ALAM – Umno expresses gratitude to Allah SWT following the confirmation of the existence of the royal addendum decree by the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC).
Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the confirmation reaffirmed the royal decree for former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to be placed under house arrest.
“Umno humbly seeks the pardon and grace of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, asking that the house arrest decree be carried out in accordance with the absolute powers of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong under Article 42(1) of the Federal Constitution.

“I appeal to the benevolence of His Majesty to grant Najib leniency, which has been delayed for more than a year,” he said in a statement on Friday.
On Wednesday, the AGC informed the Federal Court that it did not dispute the existence of the royal decree, which allows Najib to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.
Senior Federal Counsel Shamsul Bolhassan said the AGC only questioned the procedure for submitting the decree as new evidence in the judicial review application at the High Court.
