Three-month-old baby sexually assaulted on video and footage sold

PUTRAJAYA - In a disturbing case of child sexual abuse, a three-month-old baby was raped and the video of the henious act by the perpetrator was then sold.

The revelation was made by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail when speaking at the ministry's monthly gathering on Wednesday.

"I was briefed (about the matter) at 12.30 midnight, if it was around that time, it meant (the case) was serious.

"Now a terrible situation has occurred, beyond the reach of reason.

"A three-month-old baby was raped, videotaped and the video (of the act) was sold. That's crazy... yes, it's crazy, we can't imagine it," he said.

Therefore, he said, the Ministry has planned to strengthen the D11 of the Sexual Crimes Investigation Division, Women and Children (D11), Criminal Investigation Department.

Meanwhile, when asked by reporters about the case, Saifuddin refused to comment further.
