Man finds €10,000 in wallet left in bakery, hides it in shoe
Police returned the money to its rightful owner, who said he had intended to use the money to buy a new car.

HAMBURG - A man who left behind his wallet containing €10,000 (US$11,600) in a bakery got his money back after police traced the person who pocketed the find, German Press Agency (dpa) reported on Sunday, citing local police.
Eyewitnesses had observed another man taking the wallet after the victim had left the bakery, in the village of Mönchhagen near Germany's Baltic coast on Friday.
Police were able to quickly locate the suspect, who turned out to be a lorry driver. But the suspect refused to cooperate, leading officers to obtain a search warrant.

The missing €10,000 (US$11,600) was found inside his shoes.
Police on Saturday returned the money to its rightful owner, who said he had intended to use the money to buy a new car.
The lorry driver is facing charges for theft and violation of the Road Traffic Act as he was found to be under the influence of narcotics during the check. - BERNAMA-DPA
