Officially launched at adidas’ Sunway Pyramid store, the heritage-inspired limited-edition jersey pays tribute to Dion’s unique multicultural background and football journey.
As the first Malaysian to play for Japanese J1 League club Cerezo Osaka and a key figure in the national team since 2021, Dion has long represented a fusion of grit, global exposure and cultural depth.
“Football has given me an incredible platform to represent where I come from and what I stand for. Partnering with adidas on this jersey let me tell that story in a whole new way.

Born in Sarawak’s capital, Kuching, and raised in Belgium, Dion’s decision to represent Malaysia at the international level was more than a career move; it was a heartfelt nod to his roots.
The jersey design reflects this duality, blending heritage motifs with sleek modern performance features, capturing both where he comes from and where he’s going.
