SHAH ALAM – A 14-year-old girl missing from her Kepong home for four days has been found safe in Batu Pahat, Johor.

Investigations revealed the teenager allegedly travelled to Johor to meet her 47-year-old boyfriend, whom she had met through an online gaming platform.

According to police, the girl was reported missing by her 67-year-old grandfather on July 23, after she failed to return home from school.

Her father, who works in Singapore, was informed immediately and the family launched an immediate search.

Gombak district police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said the breakthrough came after police received a tip-off from the public.

“Based on the information provided, officers from Batu Pahat District Police Headquarters located the girl at 9pm.

"She was taken to Batu Pahat Hospital for medical examination and is still receiving treatment," he said.
