Lala’s post-baby glow-up inspires others facing pregnancy-related skin issues
A woman who once went viral due to significant changes to her face during pregnancy has now shared an update on her condition after giving birth.
PUTRAJAYA – A woman who previously went viral for her dramatically aged appearance during pregnancy has once again captured public attention — this time by sharing her postpartum recovery journey.
Known online as Lala, her story became a talking point after photos showed her face looking rough, swollen and visibly older while she was pregnant.
The dramatic transformation sparked speculation, with some blaming harsh skincare products and others suggesting supernatural causes.
Addressing the rumours on platform X, Lala clarified that the changes were caused by pregnancy hormones, a common but temporary condition.
“This will pass. It’s just pregnancy hormones.I was really upset when people said things like ‘this is a spiritual illness’ or blamed the skincare I used.
"To all new mums or anyone going through the same thing, don’t worry,” she wrote.
Since giving birth, Lala has begun treating her skin inflammation and shared regular updates at day 7, day 21 and day 27 postpartum, showing visible improvements in her complexion.
Among the treatments she received was the Fotona Rosacea Laser to reduce redness and inflammation.
She was also prescribed antibiotics, topical creams and a custom night cream. However, Lala noted she is holding off on oral medication due to her baby's history of jaundice.
In the comments, many women shared similar experiences during pregnancy and offered words of support and celebrated her progress.
Lala’s story has been widely praised for raising awareness and reassuring expectant mothers that such physical changes are normal, temporary and nothing to be ashamed of.
