Highway repairs to face third-party auditor scrutiny
For the first time ever, Works Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi is bringing in an independent third-party auditor to check highway repairs.
Why it matters: Most highway concession contracts expire next year and until now, quality checks were done only by JKR and the concessionaires themselves.
With external eyes on every pothole patch and guardrail fix, the ministry wants no shortcuts, no subpar work - just safer roads.
Better roads. Fewer accidents. More lives saved.
