Attack on Rafizi’s child a cowardly, despicable act – AMK
It not only broke the law but also violated basic human decency and moral values of society.
MELAKA – Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Hang Tuah Jaya branch has condemned the physical assault on the child of former Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli.
Its Information Chief Ezal Zamri described the act as cowardly, saying it not only broke the law but also violated basic human decency and moral values of society.
“Attacking a family member, especially a child who is not involved in politics, is a disgraceful and shameful act.
“The country’s laws must be upheld to prevent a culture of violence from taking root and destroying the nation’s peace,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
He urged the police to conduct an immediate investigation and bring the perpetrator to justice without compromise.
“Malaysians must also reject dirty politics and practise respectful debate and discussion in addressing differences of opinion,” he added.
He stressed that the incident was not just a crime but a betrayal of human values and must never be forgiven.
Earlier, the media reported that the Pandan MP’s child was attacked by being dragged and injected with a syringe at a shopping mall in Putrajaya at around 1.45pm on Wednesday.
Rafizi said the incident occurred as he, his wife, and their child were about to get into their car to leave the mall.
