Zara Qairina case: Several suspects in bullying case to be charged – AGC
The decision was made based on available evidence gathered during the probe.

SHAH ALAM – The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) has confirmed that several suspects involved in the bullying case of 13-year-old Zara Qairina Mahathir will be charged in court.
In a media statement today, the AGC said the decision was made after a thorough review of investigation papers submitted by the police.
The decision, it added, was based on available evidence gathered during the probe.
“The decision to charge the suspects for the bullying offence has been made as it does not interfere with the ongoing inquest proceedings,” the statement read.

The AGC stressed that although charges would be filed, the move would not affect the police investigation into Zara's death, including the inquest currently underway.
The case has drawn widespread public attention after Zara, a Form One student, died under circumstances linked to bullying.
