Sinar Karangkraf receives Perkeso Pesona Lindung Employer Award

KUALA LUMPUR – Sinar Karangkraf Sdn Bhd has received the Perkeso Pesona Lindung Employer Award in recognition of its decades-long commitment to prioritising employee welfare since the 1980s.

The announcement was made by Perkeso Chief Communications and Corporate Affairs Officer Roshaimi Mat Rosel and Branding Media Relations and Editorial Division Head Datuk Tengku Khalidah Tengku Bidin during the Gala Night: Lindung Rebranding Launch on Friday.

Roshaimi praised the company for its role in journalism, saying it had been courageous in giving space to all voices, including those once marginalised.

“Under the leadership of Karangkraf Group founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub, Sinar Karangkraf has never stopped growing.

“Today, Sinar Harian, which is close to the hearts of the people, has grown into a powerful digital force through its portal and talk show programmes that garner millions of views,” he said.

He also highlighted the company’s charitable contributions, from Ramadan welfare initiatives to providing meals in Madinah, which continue to resonate with the community through values of compassion and care.

The award was accepted by Karangkraf Executive Director (Corporate, Finance & Risk Management) Akmal Eirfan Mohamed Fauzi and presented by Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong.

The recognition is part of Perkeso’s initiative to honour eight employers that prioritise social protection for their workforce.

Other recipients included Simply SS Trading, which is co-founded by national songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza and her husband Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, as well as NH Prima International, founded by Neelofa and her family.

Christy Ng Sdn Bhd, Wawa Cosmetics, Skop Productions Sdn Bhd, Media Prima Berhad, Primeworks Studios and D’Herbs International were also honoured.
