Form Four student charged with raping friend in classroom
According to the charge, the alleged incident occurred at about 7.20am on May 2 inside a classroom at the school.
SEREMBAN - A 16-year-old student pleaded not guilty at the Seremban magistrate’s court to a charge of raping his 14-year-old female friend inside a classroom of a secondary school in Ampangan in May.
The accused made the plea before magistrate Saiful Sayoti after the charge was read out to him.
The proceeding was conducted behind closed doors as he was a juvenile offender.
According to the charge, the alleged incident occurred at about 7.20am on May 2 inside a classroom at the school.
He was charged under Section 376 (1) of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment of between five and 20 years and whipping.

Deputy public prosecutor P. Rubini offered bail at RM7,000 with one surety and asked the court to impose additional conditions.
The accused was unrepresented.
His father who is also an army retiree pleaded for lower bail.
The court then set bail at RM4,000 and ordered the accused to not disturb the victim and prosecution witnesses in the case.
The case will be up for mention on Nov 5.
