SHAH ALAM – The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) will host the International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition 2025 (PIPOC 2025) from Nov 18 to 20 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

Recognised as one of the most prominent knowledge-sharing platforms in the global palm oil industry, the event will bring together thousands of experts and stakeholders.

This year’s congress is expected to attract more than 2,000 delegates from Malaysia and abroad, featuring over 100 distinguished speakers and 200 poster presentations.

Participants will exchange insights on cutting-edge research, technological advancements and sustainable strategies that reflect the evolving landscape of the industry.

Among the renowned participants is former Director of MPOB’s Biotechnology and Breeding Advancement Centre and a Fellow of the UK’s Royal Society, Dr Ravigadevi Sambanthamurthi.

Adding further prestige, executive chairman of Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) Berhad and a leading figure in the sector’s global expansion, Tan Sri Lee Oi Hian will deliver the keynote address at the prestigious Henri Fauconnier Lecture.

MPOB Director-General Datuk Dr Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir highlighted that PIPOC 2025 takes a holistic approach with four concurrent conferences.

"It will focus on key industry areas, which are agriculture, biotechnology and sustainability; milling, processing and Bio-Refining; downstream and value addition and global economics and marketing.

Under the theme 'Transforming Today, Empowering the Future through Innovation', the congress will promote global collaboration in exploring innovative solutions and sustainable policies for a competitive palm oil sector.

Running alongside the congress is a large-scale exhibition, open to the public free of charge, featuring more than 400 exhibitors from Malaysia and overseas.

Showcasing innovations across upstream and downstream sectors, oleochemicals, logistics, R&D and agricultural technology, the exhibition will serve as a hub for business networking, knowledge exchange and collaboration among industry players, investors, buyers and researchers.

Complementing the main events, MPOB has also lined up a golf tournament and technical visits to selected plantations and research facilities, offering delegates an opportunity to experience Malaysia’s advancements in the palm oil industry first-hand.

Registration for participants is now open, with special packages available for MPOB licensees, presenters and groups. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are also offered for organisations seeking visibility within the global palm oil community.

More than just an academic gathering, PIPOC 2025 positions Malaysia as a strategic leader in shaping the future of the global palm oil industry—strengthening competitiveness, connectivity and international leadership.
