New waste collection operations begin in Kajang under KDEB
The operations come into effect this month following the implementation of a new seven-year waste management contract.

SHAH ALAM – KDEB Waste Management has officially begun a new phase of domestic waste collection in Kajang, marking the start of its second term of service under the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj).
The operations come into effect this month following the implementation of a new seven-year waste management contract.
The company said the renewed mandate reflects its ongoing commitment to providing reliable and efficient services to residents, having previously completed its first service contract in the area.
As part of the transition, residents can expect changes to collection schedules along with possible minor service disruptions in the early stages.
These adjustments are due to the realignment of collection zones and the appointment of new contractors, which require time for operational familiarisation.
KDEB Waste Management assured that proactive measures are being taken to minimise inconvenience and ensure a smooth handover.
The company will release updated collection schedules in due course and urged residents to stay informed through its official channels.
Expressing gratitude for the public’s cooperation, KDEB Waste Management said it values the continued support of Kajang residents and remains committed to maintaining cleanliness and public well-being through effective waste collection services.
