Cosplayer found dead after fall from condominium was five months pregnant - Cops

BALIK PULAU - A 34-year-old woman, who died after falling from the 28th floor of a condominium in Bayan Lepas on Wednesday night was five months pregnant.

The unemployed victim, who had reportedly recently broken up with her partner, was found dead in the condominium’s parking area by members of the public at about 9.10pm.

Southwest district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sazalee Adam said initial checks revealed that the sliding window in the victim’s room was open.

“The victim lived with her mother on the 28th floor of the condominium, as neighbours often saw them entering and leaving together,” he said.

Sazalee said the case has been classified as sudden death.

Earlier, it was reported that a woman dressed in an anime costume resembling the character Kurumi Tokisaki was found dead after allegedly falling from a condominium.

In the 9.20pm incident, the victim’s body was discovered by members of the public in the parking area near the residential block after a loud thud was heard.

A resident, who declined to be named said he heard the sound before stepping out of his home to check.

The victim had previously been seen frequently in the condominium lobby wearing anime costumes.

It was understood that on the day of the incident, she was last seen with a woman believed to be her mother.

Her body was later sent to the Penang Hospital Forensic Department at about 12.30am for a post-mortem.
