BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Tuesday that martial arts film star Jackie Chan has been appointed as a brand ambassador for Expo 2027 in Belgrade, reported Xinhua.

Vucic posted photos of their meeting on Instagram, showing the two holding panda dolls. He praised Chan as ‘a global film star and one of the world's greatest cultural ambassadors,’ adding that his charisma and energy would help showcase Serbia to the world.

"It is a great honour to have him represent Expo 2027 in Serbia. I am convinced that as Expo 2027’s promoter, he will provide strong support in presenting an event that will put our country at the centre of global attention," Vucic wrote.

Serbia won the bid to host Expo 2027 under the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All." The event is expected to attract millions of visitors and wide international attention.
