Iman Mohamad Afif shines as best graduate at University of Manchester

SHAH ALAM - From Malaysia to Manchester, Iman Mohamad Afif has proven that hard work and perseverance can turn dreams into reality.

She was named the Best Student for the Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering with Energy and Environment (Fourth Year Course Prize) programme at University of Manchester.

The recognition came with even greater pride as Iman, a Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) sponsored student and former Kolej Mara Banting student, graduated with First Class Honours.

Her journey was not only about excelling academically but also about thriving beyond the classroom.

Adding another feather to her cap, Iman emerged as the champion of the Manchester Intellectual Debate in the English category for 2024. Her ability to balance both academic achievements and campus life has made her a shining example for many.

The Mara London and Ireland Office, celebrating her achievement on Facebook, shared heartfelt words.

“Iman has proven that academic excellence can go hand in hand with active involvement in campus activities. This success is the result of dedication, discipline and a strong fighting spirit.

“Iman has become a symbol of hope and inspiration to the younger generation, showing that with perseverance and the right support, no dream is impossible to achieve.

“Congratulations to Iman Mohamad Afif. May you continue to achieve success and be an exemplary role model for other students,” the they said.

Iman’s journey is now a source of motivation for many Malaysian youths, proving that no matter where one studies or competes, excellence and passion always shine through.
