Statue of Trump holding hands with Jeffrey Epstein appears in Washington DC
The plaque below the statue reads as "We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend,’ Jeffrey Epstein.”

SHAH ALAM - A mysterious bronze statue of United States President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands and kicking their feet has appeared on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
The plaque below the statue reads as "We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend,’ Jeffrey Epstein.”
According to the National Park Service, the installation will remain on display until 8pm Sunday.
The artist behind the piece is unknown, but it resembles other satirical works that have mocked Trump in the past.
Previous sculptures included a bronze pile of poop on a congressional desk, meant to honour Jan 6 rioters and a statue called 'Dictator Approved' showing a golden thumbs-up crushing the Statue of Liberty’s crown, surrounded by quotes praising Trump from world leaders like Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un.
This latest piece revisits Trump’s connection to Epstein, the convicted sex trafficker, a topic that continues to trouble him politically.
While Trump has repeatedly tried to distance himself from Epstein, their past friendship is often brought up.
An alleged note Trump once wrote for Epstein’s 50th birthday book, featuring a nude sketch and a comment that 'enigmas never age,' is quoted on plaques at the base of the statue.
The White House quickly hit back, saying the statue was a waste of money and stressing that Trump had banned Epstein from his club.
"Liberals are free to waste their money however they see fit, but it’s not news that Epstein knew Donald Trump, because Donald Trump kicked Epstein out of his club for being a creep," White House was quoted as saying in a statement.
