GSF convoy now in yellow zone, participants ask Malaysians to pray for their safety
The convoy was expected to enter the red zone before arriving in Gaza’s coastline.
KUALA LUMPUR - The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) humanitarian convoy carrying aid to Gaza has officially entered the yellow zone, with Malaysian participants asking prayers for their safe passage.
The founder of Cinta Salam Malaysia (CSM) Ahmad Musa Al-Nuwayri Kamaruzaman confirmed the development in a social media post, saying the convoy was expected to enter the red zone on Thursday.
"Completed a two-hour night watch today. I saw several drones but they were far away.
"So, we stayed calm. We are almost there. Wait for us, my brothers and sisters," he wrote early this morning.
He also encouraged Malaysians to continue praying for the safety of all GSF convoy participants.
Another Malaysian volunteer, Muhammad Abdullah also known as Ustaz Mad Kechik, also called upon all Malaysians to pray that the GSF mission to Gaza would proceed smoothly and safely.
He said the convoy vessel he was on had passed the yellow zone and was expected to enter the red zone before arriving in Gaza’s coastline.
"Pray for us so that we arrive safely in the land of Gaza, now we have just passed the yellow line and InsyaAllah we will move into the red zone before reaching Gaza with the permission of Allah SWT.
"There is no power and strength except with Allah SWT, the most supreme and most noble. InsyaAllah, we are only praying and supplicating, please pray for us all," he said.
The yellow zone referred to an alert area 300 nautical miles from Gaza’s coast, while the red zone was the high-risk area near waters strictly controlled by the Zionist regime.
GSF consisted of more than 34 Malaysians alongside international activists, bringing humanitarian aid including food and medicine to Gaza in an attempt to break Israel’s maritime blockade.
The mission had previously reported facing intimidation and interference during their voyage as they approached Gaza’s waters. - AWANI
