From Scotland to Malaysia: How Alana Found the True Spirit of Islam

For Alana Dunsmore, a Scottish revert to Islam, the journey of faith comes with a profound sense of responsibility. 

Having grown up exposed to years of negative portrayals of Muslims in Western media, she understands firsthand why many in the West carry misconceptions about Islam.

But when she discovered the true beauty of Islam in Malaysia through friendships, the Quran, the hadith, and the mosque, she realized how far removed those stereotypes were from reality. 

As someone who has 'lived both sides', Alana now sees her role as a bridge-builder, using her voice to foster empathy, compassion, and understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims.
